Adobe has announced that it will abandon its proposed $20bn acquisition of Figma following the CMA's provisional findings that the deal would harm competition in product design tools and interactive product prototyping tools. The CMA's independent inquiry group, of which DT Economics partner David Thomas was a member, provisionally found that the merger would give rise to substantial lessening of competition.

Further details are available on the CMA's dedicated case page.
