Mifzal is a UK based economist with over 15 years of experience, specialising in the transport and aviation sector. His focus areas are business strategy, forecasting, government policy and regulation.
Prior to joining DT Economics, he was involved in day-to-day airline management, responsible for delivering strategy, business forecasting and financing. These ranged from setting up new routes, improvements in operational efficiency, setting up monthly reporting standards and dash-boards and responding to government policy proposals. Prior to that, he worked in KPMG’s Economics and Regulation team, on projects for clients ranging from Gatwick Airport, the Department for Transport and Stagecoach.
Mifzal has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford. He has Masters degrees in Air Transport Management (Cranfield, UK), Economics and Finance (University of Queensland, Australia) and Development Studies (London School of Economics, UK).
